About

When he was younger, Ryn had the bad habit of correcting people’s grammar out loud, which is a great way to annoy people. He has since learned to rein in that habit and turn it toward the page.

If the devil is in the details, then Ryn has Beelzebub on speed dial.

Along with proofreading and writing for Boys Town National Research Hospital, Ryn has managed the inventory and bookselling team at a small, indie bookstore in Lincoln, Nebraska.

He is currently employed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Love Library and working on two novels centering LGBT+ main characters. In his free time, he makes custom bookmarks, avidly reads books, and attempts to get his black cat Star to cuddle with him.

On this blog, I will share mostly book-related posts and short stories, with a few music reviews and personal thoughts sprinkled in here and there.

One of my strongest beliefs is that everyone deserves respect. My mom has always been big on respecting people, and that has definitely sunk in. No matter who you are, where you come from, what you look like, what your hobbies are, you deserve respect. I will continue to uphold that belief on this blog.

Hopefully, I can impart some wisdom as I journey through the weirdest years of my life: my twenties. If I end up without any wise words to share, I hope I can at least be entertaining!
